Curriculum

The instructional program at ICS-UJB is a strong and balanced curriculum based on the U.S. educational system. Courses are designed and taught to challenge students academically, help them to think critically and creatively, and give them the tools to tackle problems they will encounter in both their daily and academic life with confidence and success.

ICS-UJB attempts to utilize curriculum that mirrors the mission and school-wide learning expectation matrix. Teachers integrate moral standards into the purchased curricula, thus allowing students to become familiar with American-based approaches.

The academic calendar consists of 180 days of instruction. There are two semesters divided into two grading periods each. Instructional days are from 8:15 to 2:55 Monday through Friday. The school year begins in the middle of August and ends the early part of June.
